With over 30 years of experience, at the Manual Physiotherapy Center we can provide meaningful help, whether preventive or therapeutic.
Manual Therapy
Manual Therapy is a specialization within physiotherapy that focuses on the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal system disorders. It is one of the most comprehensive methods for examining and treating musculoskeletal conditions, as well as more complex pain issues related to the physical manifestation of stress.
Clinical Pilates
Clinical Pilates is the evolution of the Pilates method, specifically adapted for individuals with musculoskeletal conditions or injuries, ensuring that exercise is completely safe and effective.
Training is always conducted under the continuous supervision of specialized musculoskeletal physiotherapists with advanced training in Clinical Pilates.
Therapeutic Exercise
Therapeutic exercise is a fundamental component of rehabilitation, aiming at strengthening, stabilization, and a safe return to functional movement. At our center, we implement specialized programs such as:
- Total Gym Gravity System
- McGill Core Training
Schroth Method for Scoliosis
The Schroth Method is a non-surgical, exercise-based approach for the treatment of scoliosis. It is highly individualized, with exercises and techniques tailored to the patient’s specific spinal curve and other personal factors. It is suitable for people of all ages, from children to adults, and can be particularly effective for individuals with varying degrees of scoliosis.
Electrotherapy
Electrotherapy modalities (Magnetic Stimulation, TECAR therapy, Shockwave Therapy, etc.) can contribute to pain relief and symptom reduction. They are useful tools in physiotherapy when applied appropriately and for specific indications. For this reason, it is important that these treatments are administered by a specialized physiotherapist who understands when, how, and to what extent they can truly benefit the patient.
Biomedical Acupuncture
Western Medical or Biomedical Acupuncture involves the use of traditional acupuncture techniques from ancient Chinese medicine, applied according to the methodology, rules, and principles of modern Western medicine. It helps relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and improve function when incorporated into an appropriate treatment plan.

The problem I needed you to sort was leg and buttock pain as I had been diagnosed with trochanteritis. I was introduced by a well-known physical therapist who claimed that since I hadn’t found elsewhere an answer to my problem, it was only here I would be healed. I had had several physical therapies, not only without any positive outcome whatsoever, but my discomfort got even worse. On the very first visit I realized that Mr Sakellariou is indeed knowledgeable…
My problem was chronic lower back pain. I was urged by a friend rheumatologist to come to you. Because of my trust in the doctor, I decided to do so. I had had previous treatments without any success though. With physical therapy, muscular strengthening was achieved and I learned to move and support my body much better…
For the past five or six months, I was suffering from acute neck pain, especially during working hours. After a consultation with Mr Sakellariou, it was identified that the problem was rooted in my wrong body posture. He explained to me how various forces impact on structures such as nerves and muscles and later proceeded to treatment with stretching as well as neck movements in a highly professional and careful way….
Kostas Sakellariou is an excellent scientist and physiotherapist with professional integrity. I met him many years ago when I was injured in a car accident and had a knee operation with four knee screws. Kostas willingly came home for the first necessary treatments and then I went to his clinic where, with patience, expert knowledge and techniques, made sure my knee was restored…

Absolutely. You can book a physiotherapy appointment even without a prior visit to an orthopedic specialist.
The first session is crucial, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate your condition through a detailed history and clinical assessment. This helps us understand the possible cause of pain or dysfunction and design a personalized rehabilitation plan tailored to your needs and goals.
If we identify findings that require further medical investigation, we responsibly guide you to the appropriate medical specialty, ensuring that every step of your care is carried out safely and with full respect for your needs.
First of all, it depends on your case. If you have already visited your doctor, it’s helpful to bring a physiotherapy referral with you so we know your exact diagnosis and the instructions you were given.
In cases where surgery has taken place, a referral is essentially necessary. We are interested not only in the condition itself, but also in the type of surgery and your doctor’s specific instructions regarding which movements or loads should be avoided at each stage of rehabilitation.
If there has been no surgery or fracture with immobilization, but there is a painful issue such as low back or neck pain, physiotherapy can begin without a referral after a thorough clinical assessment.
Comfortable clothing, any medical tests or reports, and any information you consider important regarding your medical history.
Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes. The first visit includes taking your medical history, conducting a clinical assessment, and starting treatment.
In the following sessions, the symptoms of the day are evaluated and the treatment plan is adjusted. Most of the time is dedicated to therapeutic exercise and, where needed, to physical therapy modalities.
Treatments are strictly one-on-one, with one therapist exclusively dedicated to one patient.
The number of sessions varies from person to person and depends on the nature of the problem, how long it has been present, and your personal goals.
In many cases, pain relief can appear even after the first session, while within the first two to three visits there should be a clear improvement in symptoms.
Once pain is significantly reduced, we redefine the goals together to achieve full restoration of function.
Every treatment plan is fully individualized.
The rehabilitation plan is designed based on the clinical assessment of the first visit and is reassessed at every session.
We treat both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
Our experience includes painful conditions such as low back pain, sciatica, neck pain syndromes, tendinopathies, as well as post-operative rehabilitation, fractures, dislocations, sports injuries, and chronic conditions.
